About Us

The story of Simpact starts at the spine. In 1996, Matthew Lyons and Alan Lombardo, both with years of experience and training in engineering and product development, saw new technologies being developed around the spinal implant. A passion for science and a desire to embark on a new frontier to engage creative thinking led them to launch Blackstone Medical, a spinal implant company.

In less than 10 years, Blackstone was at $92M in annual revenue and had established a strong international presence. In addition to incomparable products and a streamlined infrastructure, the success of Blackstone can be attributed in part to the excellent customer relationships that were built, and a keen focus on listening to the needs of the surgeons they served. In 2006, Blackstone Medical was acquired by Orthofix International.

Recognizing an expanding market and an increased awareness of the benefits of implants among dental professionals and patients, Mr. Lyons and Mr. Lombardo proceeded to build a team of industry experts to develop the next generation of dental implant products and procedures.

Simpact will continue in the tradition of placing a high value on the customer's needs and delivering consistent, quality products. Headquartered in Parsippany, NJ, with international offices in Freiburg, Germany, Simpact combines innovative products with world-class support to ensure an excellent customer experience.
